Industrial Rotary Table Shot Blasting Machine

This shot blasting machine utilizes high-speed blast wheels to project steel shot against the workpiece surfaces, effectively performing tasks such as rust removal, descaling, sand removal, and surface strengthening. Designed primarily for processing flat, thin-walled, and precision components, the system ensures workpieces are positioned to avoid mutual contact, making it ideal for handling individual items or small batches of regularly shaped parts.
  • Product details
  • The KEEJOO brand industrial rotary table shot blasting machine utilizes a rotary table to support the workpieces; available models are categorized by table diameter, such as φ1200 mm, φ1600 mm, φ1800 mm, and φ2500 mm. Depending on specific requirements, these machines may be equipped with one, two, or multiple blast wheels and can operate in either continuous or intermittent modes.

    Working pricinple

    Workpieces are placed on the turntable (spaced apart to prevent contact or collision) and carried into the blast zone for shot blasting; they can be removed once the turntable rotates to the unloading position. Consequently, this type of machine is best suited for workpieces that do not require cleaning on one side; otherwise, the workpieces would need to be flipped over for a second pass. During the blasting process, steel shot falls onto the turntable surface and the bottom of the blast chamber. Shot on the turntable surface is pushed by a scraper mechanism mounted beneath the turntable into a bottom screw conveyor, which transports it to the base of the elevator; a belt elevator assembly then lifts the shot to a top-mounted separator, which utilizes airflow from the dust collector to sort and classify the reclaimed shot.

    The purpose is to separate broken steel shot and dust generated during the shot blasting process. Through the separator, usable steel shot is directed into the storage hopper above the blast wheel for reuse, while broken shot is separated out and discharged into the waste bin via a bypass pipe.

    Advantages

    Features a machine body and protective liners made entirely of manganese steel, ensuring a 20-year service life; Utilizes an advanced Venturi-style dust removal system; Incorporates a two-stage separation system for shot fragments;

    Equipped with a high-performance Siemens motor and a blast wheel featuring German direct-drive shaft technology;

    Features an automatic control system for steel shot flow;

    Utilizes an automatic turntable system;

    Employs a combination of magnetic separation, transverse screw separation, and air separation systems;

    Shot blasting chamber

    1. The shot blasting chamber is constructed from 6mm-thick Mn13 steel plate, precision-bent and welded.

    2. Manganese steel protective liners are installed in the "hot zones" of the chamber—specifically in the areas directly exposed to the blast stream and ricochet paths—to prevent steel shot from striking the chamber's outer walls; these liners are mounted using a combination of suspension and bolting, ensuring simple installation and easy removal or replacement.

    3. Multi-layer polyurethane sealing assemblies are installed on both sides of the rotating turntable to effectively prevent steel shot from escaping the machine housing through the gaps at the rotating wall interface.

    4. The main turntable drive mechanism is located atop the shot blasting chamber; a 1.5 kW gear motor drives the assembly to rotate via 180° indexing. Two smaller turntables are positioned at the 180° intervals; pneumatic cylinders drive gear reducers that transmit rotational motion through meshing gears, causing the work-holding fixtures to rotate 360°.

    Elevator

    1. The elevator is used to lift the abrasive media—recovered by the screw conveyor—up to the separator and storage hopper.

    2. The elevator is constructed from precision-welded steel plate and features a sectional, detachable design; maintenance and inspection windows are provided for easy servicing.

    3. A geared drive motor is mounted at the top of the elevator to power the lifting of the abrasive media.

    4. The system comprises two precision-machined pulleys, an elevator casing, a high-performance wear-resistant belt, and a series of alloy elevator buckets formed via a single-stage stamping process.

    Turntable System

    1. The main turntable drive mechanism is located at the top of the shot blasting chamber; a 1.5 kW gear motor drives it to rotate with 180° indexing. Two smaller turntables are positioned at the 180° intervals; pneumatic cylinders drive gear reducers that transmit rotary motion via meshing gears, causing the work-holding fixtures to rotate 360°.

    2. Part capacity: maximum rotation diameter of 500 mm and rotation height of 800 mm.

    3. The turntable system consists of one main turntable equipped with two smaller turntables.

    Electrical Control Cabinet

    1. Siemens PLC and touch screen

    2. Delta or Siemens variable frequency drive (VFD)

    3. Chint or Schneider low-voltage electrical components

    4. Shot blasting timer

    5. AirTAC pneumatic components

    6. Flow monitoring ammeter

    7. 1 lighting fixture

    8. 1 dedicated constant-temperature air conditioner (optional)

    FAQ

    Q: What types of workpieces are suitable for industrial rotary table shot blasting machine, and what products should not be processed on it?

    A: It is suitable for disc-shaped, block-shaped, and impact-prone components such as flanges, gears, wheel hubs, valve bodies, molds, aluminum alloy die-castings, flat sheet metal parts, and brake pads. It is not recommended for slender pipes, small loose parts, or ultra-thin parts prone to deformation; a tumble-belt type is preferred for small parts, while a hook type is chosen for long rod-like components.

    Q: How should I choose between a single rotary table and a dual rotary table?

    A: Choose a single rotary table for small-batch, intermittent production or lower budgets. Opt for a dual-station rotary table if you require continuous operation, want to avoid stopping the machine for loading and unloading, and aim to maximize productivity; the alternating operation of the inner and outer stations nearly doubles efficiency.

    Q: What type of steel shot is typically used in industrial rotary table shot blasting machine?

    A: For rust removal on carbon steel parts: S330/S390 cast steel shot; for aluminum alloy parts: low-hardness stainless steel shot; for peening processes: high-hardness alloy steel shot.

    Q: Which parts are considered wear parts, and how often should they be replaced?

    A: Shot blasting wheel blades, directional sleeves, and shot distributors (1–3 months); high-manganese steel chamber liners and turntable wear liners (6–12 months); elevator buckets and sealing strips (replaced as needed based on wear).

    Q: What is the approximate steel shot consumption?

    A: Under normal operating conditions, steel shot consumption is 5–12 kg per tonne of workpieces; however, heavy rust on workpieces or excessive impact on thin-walled parts will increase consumption.

Q

What are the characteristics of cigarette box three-dimensional packaging machine?

A

Main features:
1. There is no need to adjust the height of the countertops on both sides of the machine when changing the mold, and there is no need to disassemble and assemble the discharge chain or put the hopper, which shortens the four-hour mold replacement time of the traditional machine to only 30 minutes.
2. Adopting a new dual insurance mechanism, the machine does not need to be shut down when it is not running synchronously, nor will it damage other parts.
3. The original one-way hand crank device prevents the machine from shaking in reverse, and the handwheel does not rotate during operation, making the operator safer.
4. The new double rotary film cutting knife can ensure that the machine can be used continuously for many years without a sharpening port, overcoming the defect that the traditional fixed single rotary film cutting blade is easy to wear.
